ExoTransit is an introductory education tool providing explanation, animations and a simulator of how exoplanets can be detected using the Transit Method. The Transit Method works by detecting the reduction in light from a star when it is partially eclipsed by a planet passing between the star and an observer on or near Earth. The inclination or orbital angle of the planet relative to the line of site between Earth and the star is a critical parameter. The app further explores how critical inclination is.
